Privacy Policy

Your information, in plain words.

Effective October 19, 2026

CraveBeacon helps people in the Phoenix Valley, Arizona, find food trucks that are open near them. CraveBeacon is run by Greg Slaughter. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@cravebeacon.com.

What we collect today

Right now this website has two signup forms and no accounts.

Launch list (diners): your email address.

Founding Truck form (owners): truck name, your name, phone number, email address, and cuisine.

We also record the date and time you signed up. Sending a form does not create an account or publish anything on a map.

This site does not use advertising, tracking cookies, or analytics tools. Like any website, our hosting provider may process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

How we use it

We use your information to write to you about CraveBeacon, including launch news, and to follow up with truck owners about joining. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

When the app launches

As CraveBeacon grows into a full web and phone app, it may add features such as truck owner accounts, marking a truck open, following trucks, alerts (like "Your favorite just pulled up" or a daily lunch nudge), and requesting trucks. Those features may need things like an account login, the trucks you follow, and your notification settings. Alerts will be optional, and you can turn them off.

Location: to show trucks near you, the app may ask for your device location. It is only used when you allow it in your browser or phone settings, and it is used to show nearby trucks. You can say no or turn it off at any time and still browse trucks. Truck locations that owners choose to share while marked open are shown publicly to diners.

We will update this page before adding features that collect new kinds of information.

Where it is stored

The website and its database are hosted by Cloudflare, which stores the data on our behalf. We only share information with service providers like this that help us run CraveBeacon, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep signup information while CraveBeacon is operating or until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices

Email hello@cravebeacon.com to see, correct, or delete your information, or to stop getting emails. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or app can promise perfect security.

Who CraveBeacon is for

CraveBeacon is meant for users in the United States. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
